WORKCOVER PUBLICATIONS & INFORMATION
Information Bulletins, Codes of Practice and Guidance material are available from the relevant topic page e.g. OH&S, Workers Comp etc.
Experience shows that businesses want practical information, advice and support on safety relevant to their operations, and that the most effective way to deliver the health and safety message is through face-to-face interaction at the workplace and through various business networks. Small businesses often have the most difficulty accessing the information they need to make their workplace safe.
The ACT WorkCover Communications Team provides education and information services through the many associations and networks to which businesses are linked through distribution of the Workplace ACT E-News Bulletins and fully supporting reproducing articles in the various network information services.
The program aims to:
- assist workplaces, especially small to medium sized businesses, with products and services that are easily accessible
- raise awareness and improve voluntary compliance in the areas of occupational health and safety, dangerous substances and workers compensation
- promote ACT WorkCover as a source of advice and information
The promotion of packaged information such as the Small Business Health and Safety Toolkit Guidelines and Checklists, Education Modules and the Building and Construction Industry Handbook provide advice in targeted easy to use formats.
