How to Use the Education Modules

The main aim of the Education Modules is to increase knowledge and awareness of occupational health and safety issues. The modules are designed to be user-friendly and include interactive, participant centred activities.

The package consists of several sections of information. Participants work through the information by scrolling down the screen. At the foot of the screen will be a button to take you to the next part of the module.

After participants have finished reading through all the information, there are some questions designed to make sure they have understood the key points. These questions consist of multiple choice and true/false questions.

It may be useful for participants to print the information pages first, so that they can refer to them while working through the package.

When the questions have been successfully completed, the participant can choose to receive an on-line ActSafe Certificate from the ACT Occupational Health and Safety Commissioner.

College and High School students should can select their college/school from the drop down menu to have the certificate endorsed with the name of their college/school.

Businesses registered on the ActSafe website, including businesses participating in the "10 Steps to Safety" campaign, can enter the business details to have the business name included in the certificate and points added to the points tally for the business.
